3 Parliament Houses



Base isolaters were added at bases of above older buildings for earthquake sways..... the whole building was sliced across like a cake to install the isolaters.... amazing.....

ok i know i'm gonna sound like some idiot.

But i dont understand about the isolators and the cake slicing part... so the cake is sliced vertically or horizontally across the whole cake?? and which building is the cake? the one with the statue in front or the one below? heez... and uh.. so they used cranes or machineries to lift up the whole building to install the isolators? aiya too bad you didn't zoom in on the joints (if any).

Can't take photos inside parliament houses lah.... but got technical brochure on these isolators.... to be circulated when back.....
