I got work again! This time at Blenheim, famous for its vineyards & wineries.....
The work is wire lifting..... each row of vines is actually binded tightly together by horizontal wires on both sides. In this way, the vines are forced to grow vertically up. As it grows, the wires gotta be lifted up as well..... below shows typical messy vines before wire lifting......
It's damn hard work for 8 hours a day!! Arms were aching and fingers got numb.....
Typical vines after wire lifting, there shld not be untidy, dangling vines after dat.....
I only worked for 2 days....... no lah, I din get sacked lah!! It was the holidays after the 2 days and I was heading the next destination after dat, so only worked for 2 days lor.... enough hard work for me liao!! in fact, my last working day in 2007 was on a Sat, till 5pm, ha.....

I'm Mika's friend, Joanne. I juz returned frm a NZ South island trip last mth & loved your photos- they brought back so much fond memories =) If U're still in the South island & wondering where to go, I'd recommend going to Punakaiki (pancake rocks) near Greymouth (out of endless places to go). Or perhaps u've been there already? South island is gorgeous! I miss NZ already!
Hi Joanne! I won't be going to West Coast or that pancake area.... but thanks for the recommendation! I heard the Franz Josef Glaciers at West Coast r beautiful too.... but too cold 4 me lah!
